Monica M. Wiedel-Lubinski (non-objective abstract art)
about the artist
I was born and raised in Maryland. At age nineteen, I moved to northern Baltimore County where I have remained ever since. Baltimore is minutes from my door step. The surrounding community is diverse and rich with creative energy.

I completed high school in 1995 and graduated from Towson University in 2003 with a degree in Art Education. I also studied at the University of Sunderland in England for six months, creating paintings and pottery from my studio workspace there. I am expanding my body of work to pursue an MFA in mixed-media painting.

My background includes work experience as both an environmental educator and also an art educator. Despite focus on personal directions through painting, my installations and program development often highlight social and environmental issues.
